Inner Wheel
What is Inner Wheel? Inner Wheel is an International Organisation for Women.
Internationally, Inner Wheel is one of the largest women’s voluntary service organisations operating in the world. As a non-government organisation, Inner Wheel representatives work within the United Nations on committees in Geneva, Vienna and New York to better the lives of women globally. As the sister organisation of Rotary International we work closely with its members on service projects.
Inner Wheel is active in over 100 countries and geographic locations with over one hundred thousand members. In New Zealand, we have 64 clubs spanning the country from Whangarei to Invercargill and including clubs in Fiji and New Caledonia. Our clubs meet monthly to enjoy friendship and participate in service to the community, at home and overseas.

A Message from Wendy:
Our International Inner Wheel President for 2011-2012 Catherine Rafabert has chosen for this year's theme:
Think Ahead-Aim High
Welcome to our 2011-2012 Inner Wheel Year. What a great theme our Internatinal President has chosen for this year.
Think Ahead- One thing we all need to do at club level as well as District level. We need to start thinking about our organisations future. Do we have one? What do we need to do to ensure we continue? How do we attract new members? And most importantly, How do we make it fun for the next generation?
Aim High- Create new friendships, invite potential new members to a night of fun, step back and create less business and more interactive activities at club gatherings. We need to aim high if we are to succeed. I hope my year as District Chairman will be a fun and educational one for all members including myself I look forward to meeting you all during the next few months when I visit your clubs.
Keep safe, Have fun. In Friendship,
Wendy.
